So, with Warner Bros. announcing they will be exclusively supporting Blu-Ray, giving the format the majority of movie companies, and therefore content, will this mean and end to the format wars? Not initially I suspect, Toshiba and Microsoft are still talking hard, but it certainly looks like those of us who have been waiting for one format to come out as the clear winner may be able to decide what hardware to buy. Equally I’m not going to rush out and buy some, DVD is doing the job for me at the moment and with the prices so low why would I suddenly change to expensive HD media with no massively compelling unique selling point?
