I wrote about The Witches Hammer back in April last year when I got to attend the premiere. Well, and I meant to write this a couple of months ago, it’s now available to buy on DVD (on Amazon here (although it looks like they’re out of new copies), or slightly cheaper on Play.com). It seems to have garnered some support from a few places and was selected for the Manchester Festival of Fantastic Films and the Blood Bath Film Festival (or so it says on the box). Aside from the film, there’s also a ‘making of…’ documentary on the DVD too, which may interest anyone looking to make a low budget film.
As I said in my write-up at the time, I wasn’t blown away by the film, but then I’m not a horror fan, but it’s cheap and if you like vampire films or Buffy the Vampire Slayer you’ll probably enjoy it.
