I saw this at Cannes, last year (boy do some of those movies take a while to get released), and it’s finally getting a release in the UK. Well worth going to see if you get the chance. It’ll certainly let you see more of the city on film, more than most films usually feature and, who knows, maybe you’ll fall in love with the city. This was the first film we saw and Cannes and probably my favourite. It’s somewhat unusual as it consists of 18 small segments, directed by different people, starring different actors, each with insular and totally different stories and most of them are in French. Don’t let that put your off, however. The audience clapped each one in the screening we watched.
