The list of entrants for the Cannes Film Festival have now been announced (although it’s not on their official site yet, from what I could see. No Brits made it into the main competition but, astoundingly, Death Proof, Quentin Tarantino’s half of Grindhouse, which was received very poorly in the US and looks like it will now be released as two separate films, is in the competition, although it is suspected to be a much changed version. How did it get in at all is what I’d like to know.
Anyway, talk of Cannes makes me kind of sad I’m not there this year, although I wasn’t fussed about going when my friends and I discussed it earlier in the year.
