Cornbread.org has a comparison between DVD and the new High Definition format (not sure which one) using The Fellowship of the Ring. Mouseover the images to see the difference and it really is quite staggering.
I’m looking forward to HD, but I’m not going to rush out and grab the kit the moment they release it. For starters I don’t want to bet on the wrong one (although I think there’s unlikely to be one winner), and frankly, it’s too pricey at the moment.
