I originally stumbled across Hollywood Lost and Found following a link to the article Everything You Wanted To Know About American Film Company Logos But Were Afraid To Ask (via Bill English) as I thought it’s make interesting reading about how the logos that feature on every film came about and have changed (I’m getting quite good a recognising them now).
There’s some more interesting stuff on the site as well, like the Film Sound section which gives names to some of the popular sound effects that have been re-used over the years. You may remember my annoyance at inappropriate stock sound use.
Incidentally, for the purposes of allowing you to spot it, here is my much maligned sound effect.
