Writers Block Live has a post asking for support in rejecting restrictive technology being used in future High Definition (HD) technologies. I’m not entirely sure I understand what the post is about, it’s some sort of DRM system, that much I get, but it’s a little lacking in specifics. As I’m generally against any DRM measures (I can’t see the point of them and if I buy content I want to be able to use it however I want — if I choose to rip it off the DVD and play it back on an iPod or PSP, I should be able to, not be forced to go and buy a specifc version of the media), I guess I’m in support of them.
