Inside Man is the new film by Spike Lee starring Denzel Washington, Jodie Foster and Clive Owen. Owen plays Dalton Russell, a bank robber in the middle of what he calls, the ‘perfect bank robbery.’ Washington plays Keith Frazier, a hostage negotiator called in to deal with Russell. In between the two, and making Frazier’s job all the harder, is Madeliene White (Foster), working for some higher governmental power keen to keep something that Dalton knows very quiet.
It looks like the standard story of cops chasing robbers is merely a cover to something much bigger and, ultimately, more sinister. Dalton certainly seems very calm through most of the trailer, and he has, as he states, planned the perfect crime, so you know we don’t know everything, but the question will be, does Denzel figure it out in time? I’m betting it’s close, but yes, he does. Looks like a good thrill ride though.
