Ong Bak is supposed to the be launching board for a new martial arts action hero. Tony Jaa is being touted as the next big thing and is mentioned with the likes of Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and Jet Li.
Unlike the others, Tony (not the most glamourous of names) is not Chinese but Taiwanese. This means that instead of showcasing the more common martial arts such as Karate and Kung Fu, Tony uses Muay Thai, the traditional Thai fighting technique.
